1) All submissions must be rated from G - PG-13 only, or else a very mild R, and no higher. 2) All submissions must be in English. 3) All submissions must follow the general rules of :~WTA~: 4) Submissions do not have to follow canon explicitly, unless directed within the body of the specific challenge. Do not, however, deviate too far - for example, if the challenge is to write a submission about Arwen's childhood, do not make it so that she had no brothers, her mother died when she was eight, and she eloped with Haldir when she turned 100. Be reasonable about the changes you make. 5) If you have a website, a code must be placed somewhere on the site for your entry to be considered valid; if there is no code, your nomination will be considered null. 6) Please fill out the nomination form completely. If a category does not apply to you, simply write N/A. 7) After ylda, write bearnum, to verify that you have read the rules. Once your nomination form is filled out, please your submission to the Challenge Admin by way of attachments. Your submission should preferably be sent via Microsoft Word document, but .txt files and, if you are unable to attach files through your system, a copy-paste into the body of your email is also accepted. * There must be at least three nominees per round, or the challenge will be either dropped or extended. * All nominees are invited to join :~TOA~: for full access to the site, but it is not compulsory.

Before further comments are made regarding the :~TOA~: challenges, keep in mind that this may be run differently to those you may have participated in or seen before. The challenges at this site are won by member vote, not the decision of a closed voting panel. The managers may not like your submission, but as long as it is appropriate, the members’ vote may overrule that of the managers. Now for the process… 1) A challenge will be announced as open, with estimated dates of duration. 2) All nominees will send both their nomination form and submission to the manager before the closing date for approval. If the submission is not approved, it will be returned to the nominee for them to work at their discretion – it may be reworked and resubmitted within time constraints. 3) Once approved, a submission will be posted on the nominees page and the submissions board for viewing by the public. 4) After the closing date, a poll will be put up under the Voting board, and all members are eligible to vote. Voting will last for approximately one week before the winner is decided. 5) After voting closes, management will announce the results of both a winner and a runners-up. The winning submission will be hosted on a separate page on the main site, and the second submission will be linked on the main site until the second challenge closes. Once another challenge has been established, all nominees may move their submissions to the appropriate board in the archive, or they may deign to remove it from the forum completely; that is entirely at the author’s discretion. The winning submission will be moved to the appropriate board and listed as the winner of the particular challenge round. Now that the rules have been established, head over to fill out your nomination form. If you have any questions, please the Challenge Admin.
