*shrugs* So this is really commonplace... I felt like sprucing up the boards a little. Any objection? I'm sure you all know how it works, but in case you don't, you pick a quote from some work of Tolkien's (I'm not just keeping it to LoTR) and wait until people guess who said it and where. Whoever is the first to get it right takes the next turn, and so on and so forth. Got it? So to begin with... "... it may be that we shall not meet a second time in death or life, for the fates of our kindreds are apart." Who said it? ~ Elbereth

Finrod Felagund to Beren in Angband. For further notice, Elbereth, since you've opened this to all of Tolkien's writing, let's have people specify which book. Some are obvious, but some people, like myself, like taking really obscure quotes, and doing that through about 20 books is insane. ~ Elwen

Right, and after forever, here's my quote:

Hey, look, someone else to fall into the trap!! ;D Hehe.... Yup - your go, Eldariel. (For future reference, try to say what the circumstance was - like, to Sam, in Ithilien, kind of like what I did above with the other quote. ) ~ Elwen

For future reference, will anyone know quotes from HOME if I use them?

Okay...
"It is Sauron himself who has taken shape again and now grows apace; and he is gathering again all the Rings to his hand; and he seeks ever for news of the One, and of the Heirs of Isildur, if they live still on earth." (Sil)
