~ Do you ever accept NC-17 or slash? ~ No. NC-17 is far too graphic for a public archive, no matter how much warning we give, and as the manager, I, personally, just don’t like it - none of management does. The same goes for slash: some people see it as a valid interpretation of canon, but we don’t, nor do we care to read it. If other people want to archive it, that’s fine, but since we have to read it run through the posts, we’d rather not.

~ Do I have to rate my submission? ~ Yes. We ask that you rate it because of how this archive is balanced. If we were to close it off as an adult site because of a few posts, that wouldn’t be fair to a lot of other people. As such, many are uncomfortable reading some ratings and situations, so we need to have them be aware of it so that they can read or not read if they wish.

~ Do I have to edit my submission? ~ Yes. We ask this because many writers have an impulsive tendency to just throw things into a post the minute it’s finished, and work done that quickly is often full of errors. We’re emphasizing high-quality writing, and it makes it a lot easier to read when you don’t have to puzzle through it to figure out what it’s saying.

~ Do I have to have someone from :~TOA~: do the editing? ~ No. Not at all. We provide that listing so that you have the option of choosing one of our volunteers should you not know where to look, but that is by no means the only listing you have to choose from. If you have a regular editor, don’t kick them off just because we told you to edit!

~ Do I have to submit my post to management first? ~ No. As long as the directions are followed, you are welcome to post your submission on your own. Management takes care of the review threads, but for now, that’s it. If things get out of hand, management will require submitting posts for you, but for now, that’s for you to handle.

~ Can management post for me? ~ Yes, but that is rare. We do accept submissions from non-members, but with the way the forum is set, generally, members are to post their own work. If a problem occurs, feel free to email the manager for help, but that remains on a personal basis only.

~ Do I have to use your submission template? ~ Yes. It shows us that the author has indeed read through the rules and knows what we expect from them.
