Wow Elwen... I love your poetry! It's not really in a particular format or anything - it just flows really nicely. Fires of Fate is absolutely excellent. It's really thought evoking, too - puts friendship right on the line and answers all the questions all to one. The meter works really well there, too - not a whole lot of discrepancy, and the rhyming pattern is done well. Lovely little Elvish note at the end - I'm guessing Quenya, since I know it's not Sindarin? Wait for the Sunrise is equally good, but in a different way - it's really freestyle, and I'm drawn to that genre of poetry. I adore the freedom it gives you. Good ideas present there; I think it could fit in any situation, modern day or not. I'm impressed by your poetry style - it's hard to write good, solid poetry that doesn't end after half a stanza. ~ Elbereth

Thank you; I'm very complimented. And yes, I have a lot of fun with freestyle poetry and controversial topics... It is Quenya, if I've done the translation correctly, and there's no guarantee of that, either... Glad you liked it, and thanks for your comments. ~ Elwen
