Ok, I got the book today and finished it already, and now I am in in strict mourning. *Sobs* Oh, it's so horrible and unexpected.... I am just overcome with grief... My sister got the book too, but she is nowhere near finishing it and I need to cry with someone...
And I, being incredibly silly, thought it wouldn't be as dark as the fifth one because it was so incredibly dark... but at the same time, it was lighter than the fifth book and Harry was not nearly as angry. He grew up. I am so proud of him, but I still want to cry for him...
If you have read it, or are reading it right now and are going to say anything about it, put *MAJOR SPOILERS* and a paragraph's worth of space before you dish out in agony...
Oh, I cannot wait for the seventh one to come out. Although, it will probably be like 2 years... darn.

*grins* I myself am NOT a HP fan - I've never read the books, but I did get a phone call from a friend of mine who called to complain about a certain event that occurred. I'm not even going to bother saying what it was, and in my personal opinion, it was bound to happen sooner or later, but I've heard more than enough about this book now. Darkness seems to simply increase through the series, though, so I'm just nodding in time with it. And I have my sources - it may well be over 2 years for the 7th.... *ducks* Don't shoot the messenger!!! ~ Elwen Oh - and welcome back Ana!! *glomps*

Elwen!!! *Glomps* Welcome back!
Yes, I knew it was going to be at least two years. *sigh* She does take forever to write them, doesn't she? On the other hand, they are tombstones...
You've never read them? *shock* But Elwen! They are like, the fantasy books of our generation! Ok, ok, they are not spectacular, but they do hook you. You should at least try them, unless you have some religious or personal issue against them. They're fun, and they are an easy read (though so long!) and as far as mysteries go Rowling always manages to shock me. Unusually it's not fun, and most of the time I think she cheats, but she does shock me.

Hehe thanks! Yeah, I've heard rumour that it will be another 5 before the next book, but that I can't verify, so... Nope, never read them. I tried the first one when I got it as a gift, but I had absolutely no interest in it. Granted, I hated fantasy at the time, but hey... A couple friends of mine have been trying to get me to read them, but I just don't have the inclination. Nothing against it, I just don't care for it; give me credit - I at least watched the movies... Which, I know, were odd compared to the books, as everything is, but hey... ~ Elwen

JKR KILLED DUMBLEDOR!!! *sobs* *wails* *throws tomatos at JKR's head* *sniffs once more and goes back to normal (well, normal is relative)* How could she?! Dumbledor was one of my favorite characters. Other than that I loved the book. Please, please, please let it be a false rumor that it will be another 5 years.

*grins* I heard... I, like Elwen, never read HP, and I think we're both equally responsible for the other, but c'est la vie... *shrugs* I've read more than she has, though, and know bits and pieces of it... As for Dumbledore, I suppose that it was almost bound to happen - in a sense, someone or something had to either die or strike tragedy in a way to "up the ante", if you will. Think of it as Gandalf, I suppose... Resurrection may not come about, but still. Look at Sirius and that situation... In part, it's not so much Dumbledore, I don't think, but more of a general point to make for the series. At least she didn't kill off Harry, although there are rumours that she may for the last book... I know, I know - it doesn't help, but still. And I suppose you could say I am vaguely connected through sources to JKR and from what I hear, it won't be five years, but it will take a bit for the next book. I could be wrong, though, and no, I don't know her enough to do anything... ~ Elbereth

I'm still not over Sirious dying and now Dumbledor...
I know that it was likely to happen to up the drama, but I wasn't expecting Dumbledor to die until the 7th book or not at all because he was such an important character. There are theries that support the possibility that Harry might die. These are that Harry was made one of Voldemort's horcruxes when Voldemort tried to kill him and so Harry would have to die for Voldemort to die.

Ahem. Well, I really am a heartless person, and am a *cues scary music* Huge Malfoy And Snape Fan. I thought this one was very good, but the sudden change from "ooh, it's just Ron's bitty sister" to "ooh, I wanna snog her!" was very abrupt. Other than that, it was fun.
