Well, happy May to all of you, and a warm welcome to our latest members, Eldariel Wildheart, Legolas, and Ithilien! Good to have you here, and best of luck to you!

A note from the HTML Admin - she will be out through the month of April. Best of luck to her on her exams, and we wish her a good vacation!
She has also graciously compiled a definitive list of the UBBC tags that these forums use, so if you've any questions regarding those, please visit our Reference section!
And primarily, you have likely noticed that we're a few days early in this newsletter. This is mainly due to a new upgrade that will be hitting the forum in the coming week. Beginning April 30th at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, individual forums will be shutting down temporarily for an upgrade to a newer version. Much more advantageous, and no, none of your information, posts, profiles, etc. will be lost. All info will be retained; just keep this in mind if you come online and cannot log in to the forum. If no problems arise with the support forum, ours will likely experience downtime towards the middle of the week.
As you all know, the base site has been released; some information still needs to be transferred, but it is more than usable as of now. Once more, the URL is www.tirithaear.tk

Again, please keep in mind: if you are interested in becoming a bigger part of the site by taking on the role of an admin, please take a look through the boards on the main site - in the best of all possible worlds, all posts necessary will be filled before August of 2005. Some of you are likely candidates; take a look around and see if you're interested!
Also, there is a board at the top of the forum entitled Scrolls of the Eldar. All members are requested to post their profiles there! If you have not done so already, please do! It's a great way to get to know each other, and a good way to keep track of who is who!
Furthermore, at the end of each month, on forum maintenance day, a member will be chosen as the "member of the month" by management. Dedication, activity, friendliness, and a general proclivity toward good, solid participation will gain you that post. It may or may not be awarded each month, depending upon the level of activity, but there is no "point system" - honestly, just come in and impress us!
Regarding the Challenge: the closing date was originally April 30th; due to a lack of entries, that date will be extended one month for the time being, to May 30th. We know y'all can write, so come on - whip up something short!!
Some of our newest members are among our most active; commendation is given to them! As to the rest of you (many have contacted the manager with warnings of a heavy work schedule; our thanks to you), please come in and post! Yes, the forum is small and people aren't generally on at the same time, but the only way that will happen is if people get involved and draw others in! (Come on - make your manager's day!!)
You've probably noticed that the color scheme has changed drastically (yes, again...)... Hope it works for you - if it's horrible, just speak up...
As usual, if you have any questions, complaints, compliments, suggestions, etc., post them in The Throne Room or the manager - you know where to find her. We really welcome all comments like that; it's what helps us improve, and we can't do that if you don't tell us how!!
